Why YOU need to be BORN AGAIN!

John 3:3
‘Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God’.

The new birth is essential for entering into the kingdom of God (John 3:5). As Jesus explained to Nicodemus, this is not a second physical birth but rather a spiritual birth. Our spiritual man became dead unto (separated from) God through sin (Romans  3:23, 6:23, 7:9, 11; Ephesians  2:1, and  5). Just as we didn't accomplish our physical births, we cannot produce this spiritual rebirth. We are totally incapable of saving ourselves (Jeremiah  13:23; Romans  3:10-12 , 8:7-8; and Ephesians  2:3); therefore, we need a Savior (Titus  1:4; 2:13; 3:4, and 6). We simply believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and we are saved (Acts  16:31). Faith is the only condition (Romans  3:28 and 10:6-9). Faith alone saves; however, saving faith is never alone. As stated in James  2:17-18, "faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone...shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works." Salvation is not a reformation but rather a regeneration, a new birth, a new creation (2Corinthians  5:17), that can only be accomplished by a creative miracle of the Holy Spirit (John  1:13 and 3:5).

Throughout Jesus' earthly ministry, the Jews kept looking for Him to establish a physical kingdom here on the earth and deliver them from the oppression of the Romans (Daniel  7:13-14, 27; Luke 17:20; and Ac ts 1:6). Although at Jesus' Second Coming, the kingdom of God will physically rule over the nations of the earth (Mathew  25:31-46; Revelation  11:15, and 20:4), Jesus' kingdom is spiritually established by His Word and not carnal weapons (2Corinthians  10:3-5). Jesus said, "The kingdom of God cometh not with observation...behold, the kingdom of God is within you" (Luke  17:20-21). Paul said we are already in the kingdom of God (Colosians  1:13). The kingdom of God is therefore Christ's "invisible church," His body; it was begun during His earthly ministry and is still ruling the hearts of people today. To be a part of His church (Romans  12:5 and Ephesians  1:22-23), you must be born again.  Just as a branch grafted onto a tree is one with the tree, you may become a son of God, grafted like a branch into the only begotten Son of God right now, this very moment, by praying this prayer unto the heavenly Father.

My Lord and my God, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner.  I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God.  I believe that He died on the cross and shed His precious blood for the forgiveness of all my sins.  I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit  and that He sits on the right hand of God at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer.  I open up the door of my heart and I invite You into my heart, Lord Jesus. Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that You shed in my place on the cross at Calvary.  You will not turn me away, Lord Jesus, You will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because Your Word, the Bible says so. Your Word says that You will turn no one away, and that includes me. Therefore, I know that You have heard me, and I know that You have answered me, and I know that I am saved. And I thank You, Lord Jesus, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as You command and sin no more.

FAITH is a FACT but it is also an ACT!

                                              Romans 10:10

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For true salvation to take place there must be confession with the mouth and belief from the heart. People tend to major on one or the other of these requirements, but that fails to obtain the desired results.

Confession is scriptural, but it is a result of faith in the heart. Only when people have already believed with their hearts will confession release the power of God. Confession without sincere belief in the heart is dead works (Heb 9:14).

Likewise, faith without works is dead (Jas 2:17). When people really believe in their hearts, they will speak what they believe (Mt 12:34 and Lu 6:45). A faith that won't confess what is believed is not God's kind of faith

As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, [even] God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.( Romans 4:17)
The phrase, "and calleth those things which be not as though they were," is referring to the instance Paul had just cited when God changed Abram's name to Abraham (Gen 17:5). According to Strong's Concordance, the name Abram means "high father," and the name Abraham means "father of a multitude." The Lord changed Abram's name to Abraham one year before the birth of Isaac, thus confessing that Abraham was the father of a multitude before it happened in the physical.

This illustrates God's faith. God says things are so before there is physical proof that they are so. The same thing was done at creation (Gen 1). God spoke everything into existence, and then it was so. He spoke light into existence and then four days later created a source for that light to come from (Gen 1:3 and 14-19).

. Failure to properly combine these two truths has caused some people to fail in their attempts to receive from God, and reject "faith teaching" or "confession teaching." However, if one of these truths was presented without the proper emphasis on the other, then it wasn't scriptural teaching. The truths of faith and confession will work when used according to the instructions in this verse.
